School Supplies Needed for the Fall
Help provide school supplies for our classrooms at the start of school by taking advantage of the great sales over the summer! Supplies needed are listed by grade level. Even though you won't know your child's teacher until the fall, teachers work together by grade level and your donation(s) will benefit everyone in that grade. Thank you!
Great news! Hamilton will have a dedicated Science Lab next year! With the 6th grade moving to middle school next year, there is class space available for a dedicated Science Lab. This will make it easier for teachers to set up and use science equipment and supplies. If you have time in July to help set up the lab, please email Jennifer McCreight or call 626/683-2808.
Class Size Reduction Update
It is currently anticipated that kindergarten classes will be 25 students to 1 teacher and grades 1-3 will be at 27:1 based on recommendations accepted by the school board last week. Keep in mind that this is based on averages at each school site for all students enrolled in K-3 (e.g. depending on enrollment, a 1st grade class could have 29 students in it while a 2nd grade class might have 25). See PUSD press release.
