Uniform Policy
Hamilton has adopted a uniform policy in order to avoid distraction, minimize competition, eliminate undue expense, and call forth from students a serious attitude toward education.
PANTS & SKIRTS –
Long Pants, Walking Shorts, Skirts, Skorts & Jumpers |
- Navy Blue, Khaki, or Plain Blue Denim
- Waistband must be fitted – otherwise a belt must be worn
- Baggy or low riding pants not allowed
- Bicycle shorts only permitted under skirts or jumpers

Long & Short Sleeve Polos; Turtlenecks; Hamilton school t-shirts |
- Navy Blue, Light Blue, White, or Red – with or without the Hamilton Logo
- Hamilton school t-shirts

| SWEATERS, SWEATSHIRTS, & JACKETS |

| HATS OR SCARVES |
- Not permitted (except during cold weather)

- Must be closed-toed – no sandals allowed

| GIRL OR BOY SCOUT UNIFORMS |
- May be worn on scheduled meeting dates

| JEWELRY |
- If worn, must NOT get in the way of play or cause classroom distractions.

Free dress day is the first Friday of each month. Please note that the following are examples of inappropriate attire that are NOT PERMITTED on free dress days: sandals, short shorts, blouses or shirts exposing midriff, spaghetti straps, jerseys, tank tops, and low riding or baggy pants/shorts/skirts.
Please notify the school in writing at the beginning of the year if your child has a medical condition or religious reason that requires a modification to the dress code.
Uniforms can be purchased at a variety of retailers including Children’s Place, Old Navy, Target, Kohl's and most department stores. |
