Admissions Process
Hamilton is a sought after Pre-K through 6th grade public elementary school
in the southern part of Pasadena near Caltech and the Huntington Library,
four blocks east of Allen and one block south of Del Mar.
Grades Kindergarten through 6th
Students are eligible to attend Hamilton if:
1. Hamilton is their neighborhood school; or
2. They obtain a seat through the Open Enrollment process.
Hamilton is a "neighborhood school" with a defined attendance area. All
students who live within the neighborhood attendance area are eligible to
attend Hamilton as long as there is space available. Parents are encouraged
to register early in order to guarantee their child's seat. To determine
whether you live within the Hamilton attendance area, please use the
Neighborhood School Locator form on the PUSD website or view the map.
Students who do not live within the attendance area may obtain a seat at
Hamilton through the Open Enrollment process generally held in January for
