Hamilton offers two after school care programs that operate Monday from 1:30pm to 6:00pm and Tuesday through Friday from 3:10pm to 6pm. Applications for both after school programs are also available at the Back to School Picnic prior to the start of the school year or by contacting the respective on-site program directors.

PasadenaLEARNs

PasadenaLEARNs offers a balanced program consisting of homework help, leadership development, visual and performing arts classes, structured recreation, and other academic enrichment activities. Students are required to attend daily. PasadenaLEARNs is offered on a sliding scale fee basis. For more information, contact Marie Novelo at (626) 255-8991.

Citywide Recreation (aka "Parks and Rec")

Citywide Recreation provides a variety of activities including arts and crafts, games, and various sports, as well as time for students to work on their homework. This program is operated by the City of Pasadena’s Human Services and Recreation Department at Hamilton Elementary School. Students must be registered and attend regularly to participate.

Please note that as of February 2, 2009, the City of Pasadena began charging $25 per semester per child to participate in the Citywide Recreation Program ($22.50 for each additional child).  For more information, contact Stephanie Carter, the East Area Coordinator, at (626) 744-7532.
 
After School Clubs/Organizations

Hamilton also has various after school clubs and organizations. These are additional opportunities for your child to nurture academic and extra-curricular interests, or just learn something new! More info.
