Music Program

Silver Burdett Making Music Curriculum Program (K-6)

The Silver Burdett Making Music curriculum teaches the basics of singing and musical notation and includes songs from many cultures and time periods; children sing and play instruments on a regular basis.

Hamilton’s Instrumental Music Program

Weekly instrumental music lessons are provided through small group instruction. Third graders are eligible for violin. Students in grades 4-6 may take string (violin, viola, cello, or bass), woodwind, or brass instruments. (Guitar, drums, and piano are not offered.) While PUSD has a limited number of instruments available for rent, parents should plan on renting instruments from a music store.
